A Dalheimer & Co was founded in 1908 in Melbourne by August Dalheimer, a fifth-generation lapidarist, or gemstone cutter. The first workshop was established on the Corner of Elizabeth and Little Collins street and quickly became well known for the outstanding quality of gemstone cutting and polishing coupled with a unique eye for jewellery design and customer service.
For over 100 years A. Dalheimer & Co has served Melbourne’s trade industry as well as its private clientele, and remains the number one choice for gemstone acquisition and commissioned jewellery pieces.
Many of our clients, themselves are third generation jewellers, or third generation families who have selected A. Dalheimer & Co as their long-standing provider of exclusive stones and jewellery service.
Today the business is run by Brenton, August’s grandson, who carries on the art of hand cutting and polishing with over 50 years experience. He has a unique eye for creating beautiful timeless pieces of jewellery as well as restoring much loved family heirlooms.
